Golf outing planned at Beaver Meadows

The 2010 All-Class Reunion Golf Outing will begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday, July 2, at Beaver Creek Meadows with a shot-gun start. The cost is $30 per person, which includes 18 holes with cart and lunch after the event. Pop and water will be provided but otherwise it is BYOB.

The event will feature a scramble format with each player using at least three tee shots plus a par 3 for their team. The purpose is to start and finish together.

Window Display Contest Information

Your class can exhibit its Potter Pride in the Window Display Contest and possibly pick up one of 5, $100 cash prizes.

Registration for judging is required and may be submitted to Shawna Spencer by calling 330-382-9951 or e-mailing her at spencer.david@comcast.net.

The five categories that will be judged are best use of blue & white, most comical, best represtentation of the era of class graduation, most patriotic, and best overall.

'Potterade' regulations detailed

The beloved "Potterade" parade will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3 with the lineup beginning at 1 p.m.m along Walnut Street and Bradshaw Avenue.

The size of class entries will be limited to the length of a semi tractor-trailer.

No special groups or clubs can march separately from a class. Banners indicating class years will be provided at the line up.

Tegistration is required and will be held near TJD Sports Store at 5th and Walnut streets. Due to the potential for hot temperatures, class members are encouraged to bring coolers with water to avoid dehydration during the length of the parade. Water also will be available at the registration table.

Award categories are: best use of blue & white, best representation of the era of class graduation, most comical, most patriotic, and best decorated float.

Viewing for the parade will be along 5th Street only. Formation of the parade will be "skin the snake" where the Olde Guard Classes will lead the parade, moving through the lineup from the back of the line to the front. The parade route will be from Walnut Street to 5th to Jefferson Street where it will begin to disband along Jefferson continuing down 6th Street and back up to Walnut.
